Hello guys, I’m Ashley Jaurigue, I’m 16 years old and I live in San Pablo City, Laguna. I am currently studying at Liceo de San Pablo and I’m a Grade 11 student. Here’s my opinion on having a mandatory ROTC for Senior High School (SHS)

I am not in favor of having a mandatory ROTC for the senior high school. Because there are strands that is having a lot of subjects that is need to be focus. In our school here in Liceo de San Pablo every strand has a maximum of 10 subjects and their class starts from seven o’clock in the morning to until four o’clock in the afternoon and sometimes we have a class until five o’clock. There is no time for the senior high school students of doing the ROTC. Because there some students of senior high who don’t have free time because of the Immersion and it’s like an On the Job Training (OJT). Senior high also have a Research or Thesis that need to be focus on, because there are students who suffer on not successful on defending their Thesis. We students also have a lot of performance task on every subject that we did not expect that it would be given to us at the same time. There are students who failed or have a low grade because they lack of time doing their task and project. But some students are failing because of procrastination and absenting attitude that result to have a failing grade.

Maybe ROTC can help students improve their physical ability, but it can also be a struggle for us because we have a lot of task that we need to do, and putting back the ROTC in SHS can lead some students on being stress. Because there are some students who lack knowledege and ROTC can be struggle for that person get his/her focus back on academics. Some students are tired of doing hard stuff and maybe the ROTC training can lead them to a much lazy student or vice versa. Maybe they can put the ROTC back in college but not in Senior High School because the students now are different to the other that have already experience ROTC.

I agree with the Mandatory for ROTC in Senior Highschool students because it will raise the awareness and protection of a student in some situations. It will also give us knowledge to protect our selves when we are in danger from other people.The ROTC will make us ready if the country is in danger from other country or some situations in the future. I know that this program was stop because of the reason of the officer that abuse the students, that is why before the government make it happen i hope that they will make sure that, that kind of incedent will not going to happened again. It will also increase the security level of our country for any harm might happened if it will be a succesful program. Now days in our country everyday their are many crime’s happening that is why it is very important for everyone to know how to protect them self from harm or danger might come

Are you in favor of the mandatory rotc for shs?Yes because for me we need to learn how to protect our self to other who want to hurt us. Maybe we are not ready for this activity but we need to learn how to protect our self.ROTC or Research Office Training Camp is they are to learn experience and be always ready.

If we learn this activity we are gonna be better than others who did not know how to protect their self. It also helps our military because of many people have an experience in this activity that they called ROTC. The problem is many of the students are not interested and motivated to under go training because some other students who try this is almost die because some of the officers abusing their position to others.

So for me if there will be an ROTC again it should be optional.For me their will be a good side of ROTC and their will also a bad side like abusing student and that will be are biggest problem specially for the parents

No, Because it’s already in College Once you put Rotc in college Because its difficult to maintain how about the next coming college students they not feel the note. appears to have no discernible effect on principled level of moral reasoning beyond that of a normal college education however it apparently promotes a higher regard for a conventional level of moral reasoning among its students.

No, Because its already in college once you put a rotc in college so maintain its how about the next coming college students they not feel the rot the feels of having rotc. i think rotc is should stay in college because rotc is good in college because senior high is full of academic works.

Im John Russel J Ramos im grade 11 student in Liceo de San Pablo I agree with the implemented ROTC because we can all learn to fight againts evil people during time that many crime crimes in our country have they of rape for women and minor age student.

Our country will need ROTC because have to be ready in the future just in case our nation isi n touch with us and we can defend ourselves againts our enemies that will not over power them and make them feel we can not use them what we learned in ROTC

The ROTC is important to me because it gives us a new knowledge of fighting ang defending ourselves against evil people aa long as time from school sometimes Im going to be in trouble if somebody us trying to do something badly I can defend i do not thingking its important to women any more as i agree with the ROTC

No! Because some students cannot be a participant of ROTC. We have alot of subjects and activity on our school then they will add the ROTC likr a military training for what. We didnt want to be a police officer or a military. We have alot of activity then it could be harder when they add the military ROTC. What is the purpose of the ROTC? Nowadays some students are so stress and depression. It can be difficult to have a ROTC because we have a k12 programs then we have another subject that not related to our course of strand.

Stop adding some subject on college. Because your making our life harder our subject minor and major is so difficult to understand and to study. We have our thesis and research, accountance, engineering alot of works and studies to do and then you need to add the ROTC? What is the main purpose or idea about this. We have our P.E on our school to have excersices and that can help my body to be atrong and healthy

ROTC stands for Reserve Officers Training Corps. An example of ROTC is a program to train college students to become a officers. 

I as a student Im agree with that because i have a lot of benefits to get. Because I’m an athlete i get more disciplined and more knowledge about this. ROTC help me to love and help the community for as to survive in calamity or emergency.  We must learn some physical activities. How to survive if there a calamity. So for us to know what to do and I also want to help other people by sharing my skills and knowledge. 

ROTC help us to know what are we going to do. This is a big help to us because our country always have calamity. We need to learn, we need to take care of our environment as well. We need to help our nation to rise up.

I search it first on Internet, what is the meaning of ROTC. Because I didn’t hear the voice of my teacher when she said the meaning of ROTC so I search it. And the meaning is Reserve Officer Training Corp. why do we need ROTC in Senior High School?

In my opinion, Im in favor for the mandatory of the ROTC to Senior High School. Because, many student wants to learn the basic training of the police or soldier, when they are taking a criminology course on college, They will know it basicaly, and many students will get their fitness, Because of the training. And because of the ROTC many students will know how to self defense their self when some bad guys are coming.

ROTC cab be an additional subject, but it can help us to train our body and know the basic training. We can get moral discipline.Im favor on mandatory ROTC on senior high school.

Hi, I’m Neil Landicho and I’m favor of ROTC . Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) is a military education and training program that mobilize students into the preparedness of depending our country in case of sudden war .

As a Senior High School Student, I am favor of mandatory ROTC for Senior High School . Other shared their different opinion about the restoration of mandatory ROTC, most of them agreed that ROTC is only a burden for all students where they are only placed under the extreme heat of the sun, while some of them are afraid of repeating the dark images of hazing . But for me the return of mandatory ROTC is to restore the youth for moral and spiritual values, love for their country, respect for human rights and adherence to the constitution . And by this we will molding us to be more discipline citizens and good future leaders of our country .

I conclude that bringing back the ROTC to Senior High School is a big help for us not only to the youth but also to our country .
