MY OWN OPINION ABOUT MANDATORY ROTC

Are you in favor of the mandatory ROTC for senior high school? Yes, I am because in ROTC we can learn many things such as self defense and more. It gives us training and experience to help us to be ready for the upcoming dangers.

ROTC can be helpful to us to be ready for the upcoming danger and helps us face and overcome dangers that could occur in any places and time. I don’t know much about ROTC but I am sure that it can be helpful to us, I don’t care if it is hard, painful and could take us our free time, I’ll just do it to learn and have experiences. Other students might not agree to this because they think that having this additional subject or activity is useless but it can provide us an opportunity to participate in field training exercises, adventure training and more, so not just our mental is being enhance also physical. Having this subject or activity is sure challenging but only few students love challenges so few will disagree but still my answer is yes.

For me ROTC can be helpful especially to us students that doesn’t have any experience in adventures and dangers so I am hoping that the government will approve to ROTC for the senior high. Not all students will agree so it can be a voluntary ROTC if possible and not mandatory for students to be able to fulfill their duty in the other subjects without any interruptions.

THE MANDATORY ROTC FOR SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL

Hi guys! My name is Janea Katrina Eillyn G. Cailao. I am 16 years old born on August 06, 2002. I live in Brgy. VI-A San Pablo City Laguna. I’m currently studying in Liceo de San Pablo. Grade 11 student General Academic Strand. From St. Dominic de Guzman. Thank you for reading my introduction. Hope you’ll enjoy reading my opinion about the mandatory ROTC in Senior Highschool.

ROTC or Reserve Officer Training Corp was a mandatory training conducted before to all graduating high school students and one semester in college. It’s ain is to prepare every student to have knowledge and skill for field combat when a crisis or emergency occur. It also aims to educate the students basic skills for survival when stranded in a remote area. It also teaches discipline. It is a Important as any other subject. One may not graduate if he/she didn’t undergo trainning. In short it is a requirement not only in high school but also in college.

I, as a student is in favor for the ROTC because I may learn many basic skills from it. I can be trained to be disciplined and well knowledgable about basic tactics. I may learn to be worthy for the community because it also teaches many survival techniques when a calamity or emergency strikes. But as I have learned from the past appearance I may not be in favor of th hard training conducted. We can learn even there’s no such physical activities. President Duterte recently approved the indusion of mandatory ROTC in curriculums of senior high school, both in public and private schools. Clearly, the importance of having disciplined terms of students who can be trapped during calamities and emergencies cannot be denied. Our military forces need sustained replenishment because of years of political instability, threats to our national security and the scourge of terrorism that have stedily depleted it’s ranks

ROTC is a subject that are of the many things from the past. We may have neglected it because it was removed form the curriculum but as what is happening nowadays I think it is better to be returned. People now needs discipline.

ROTC for Senior High School

What is ROTC ? ROTC stands for Reserve Officers Training Corp. Are you in favor of the mandatory ROTC for Senior High School ? Yes,because ROTC aims to provide military education and training for students to mobilize them for national defense preparedness.

Being a senior high school student I agree to return the mandatory of ROTC in senior high school because to restore the youth for moral and spiritual values, love for their country, respect for human rights and respect the constitution. Some parents support the plan of President Rodrigo Duterte to include the mandatory Reserve Officers Training Corp (ROTC) in school curriculums. Thay believe thas this will help the youth understand the importance of discipline leadership and patriotism. Some of them said that this program will be good for their children, but insist that the school management should assure that this will not be abused and must be carried out properly.

We must not do anything impulsively. We need to study thoroughly all the cons of this issue and seek the views of all sectors concerned. No less than our national security is concerned.

The Cause and Effect of the Mandatory ROTC

What is rotc it is the reserve officers training camp it is like group of militar while the students are having a training just like a militar does.

For me it is a no, becausr some of the officers are abusing their power as an officer. But it had a good side too because they are giving you a training to have a good health. And as a student this rotc can discipline everyone. Many of the recent officers were being abuse by the former officers and that is why I don’t want Mandatory ROTC so that I can avoid the abuse of others.

ROTC can make everybody sick, and abuse. It is the reason why most of the people get change to fight back and to forget that we are the people to such good things. Always remember that we fall to know not we fall to fight with vengeance. And be a good person for the future.

House Panel OKs bill on mandatory Reserve Officers Training (Philippines)

Military financial aid is offered to officer candidates in the form of tuition assistance and monthly pay in return for the student’s promise to serve as an officer in the army, navy, air force, or marine corps. A bill reinstituting the mandatory ROTC for grade 11 and 12 student I  public and private schools nation wide. Is pending before the house of representative president Rodrigo Duterte approved the restoration of the reserved officers training corps (ROTC).

And for me I didn’t agree in this program of “ROTC” Because of many student will abuse by their trainers. And many student will suffer for they have no physical strength Many parent will didn’t agree on this because they train yer child to be come a excellent in academic not in military combat. And for that I don’t really agree in this curriculum that are president pertmit on in.

The ROTC has since been offered as an opitional program under the national service training program (NSTP) through republic act 9163.

Mandatory ROTC Prgrams for Senior High School

What is the meaning of ROTC? ROTC means for Reserve Officers Training Corp. Grade 11 and 12 in public and private schools nationwide will not be an uphill battle because a bill is already pending at the House of Representatives and is just awaiting approval from lawmakers.

I believe that it awakens the spirit among the youth to serve and protect our peace and democracy, whether it be through internal or external forces. As a large part of our time in school and this is were we spend most of our formative years.

Are you in favor of the Mandatory ROTC for Senior Highschool?

What is ROTC even stands for? It stand as Reserve Officers Training Corps. Do ROTC benifits us? Yes, because all the people who will join that will give them a lot of advantages like how to be well trained and learn to be a disciplined people and always being in the right time and work like a military like. So far i am in favor of the mandatory of ROTC for senior highschool. And it also benifits the people who wanted to be a Military or a Marine. ROTC is the most demanding and successful Leadership Program in the country. The training a student receives in Army ROTC teaches leadership development, military skills and career training. Courses take place both in the classroom and in the field and are mixed with normal academic studies. Additional summer programs, such as Jump School, may also be attended. Upon completion, an Army ROTC graduate is awarded officer status in the Army.

What does it mean to be contracted in ROTC?

Good day Everyone! Allow me to Introduce Myself , I am Ainah Zablan Vecido a grade 11 student from Liceo de San Pablo , St. Dominic de Guzman and i am here to give my thoughts and opions about the mandatory ROTC for senior highschool students.

Am i in favor of mandatory ROTC? well the answer is No! why? Because for me having a mandatory ROTC for Senior High School Students will be a big problem for us and for our guardians as well because of big adjustments, ROTC includes a lot of hard trainnings and for me we senior high students are too young and not ready to do those kind of stunts, Yes it is true that ROTC aims to provide military education and training for students to mobolize them for national defense preparedness, it also helps our military to be better but ROTC doesn’t necessarily improve the quality of our military force, since its mandatory, Many of the students are not really interested and motivated to under go training.

In fact according to my research, some students actualy got hospitalized before because of hazing within the ROTC program. one more thing is that ROTC back then was just another way to do corruption, you will pay for overpriced uniform of very low quality and over priced snacks and that’s a big problem because now a days money is so hard to earn to point that not all parents can afford to pay for high tuitions anymore, that’s why for me, if there will be an ROTC again, it should be voluntary option and not mandatory, it should be also for college students only, and also the goverment should provide a geniune training program with great facilities and materials.

ROTC in the Philippines

What is ROTC? What are its benefits? Who can join ROTC? What is done during ROTC trainings? These are just few questions concerning a lot of individuals especially those considering entering ROTC in the future.

The Reserve Officers’ Training Corps, more popularly known as ROTC, is part of the National Service Training Program (NSTP) for Filipino college students. It aims to provide military education to students for national defense preparedness mobilization. Students who undergone ROTC are considered reservists and can be potential officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. Military and officer training are offered to ROTC students.

ROTC offers a variety of benefits for students who join. It offers the students with potential leadership and technical skills. It may also offer a structured path for a future career after college. More importantly, ROTC provides professional military training to students that will be both beneficial for the student and the nation.

Although the President of the Philippines, Rodrigo Duterte urged the Congress to enact a law to revive mandatory ROTC in the country, the Bill is still pending in the House of Representatives. Once approved, this will require students in Grades 11 and 12 to undergo ROTC. However, it is good to note that there were issues governing ROTC especially deaths of some trainees because of unjust officers-in-charge.

Whether or not ROTC really is beneficial for the students and the country is still questionable. It may be beneficial for the students if all officers will be fair and just during the training program; consequently, this will benefit the country in terms of developing more skilled military officers who will be asset in the Philippine military.
